This fall Honda is releasing the second hybrid version of their popular Accord sedan, the 2014 Accord Hybrid. With a 50 mpg city rating, this new hybrid is the most fuel-efficient, non-plug-in hybrid sedan on the market. Honda also announced that the 2014 Accord Hybrid will arrive with a starting price of just $29,155.

Earlier this year Honda released the Accord plug-in hybrid, which is only available in select markets throughout the U.S. The more conventional Accord Hybrid will be available across the U.S. with pricing that ranges from $29,155 to $34,905.

The Accord Hybrid features a 2.0L four-cylinder engine that is mated to an electric motor. The two-motor hybrid system gives the Accord Hybrid a rating of 50 mpg in the city and 45 mpg on the highway. Unlike the Civic Hybrid, the Accord Hybrid’s powertrain will have enough power to drive in electric-only mode at lower speeds.
