Imagine going to a clothing store, picking out your favorite fashions, and having a completely custom outfit made to your measurements within 24 hours. Researchers from London’s Loughborough University are hard at work figuring out how to adapt industrial 3D printing processes to the textile industry — and the technology is poised to completely change the way we shop. Even more promising is the way these changes would cut down on waste fabric, making the manufacturing process more eco-friendly.
