Art and design studio Aether & Hemera have created Pollinators, an interactive installation that uses mixed media to raise awareness about the belief that pollinator populations are in continual decline. Currently installed in England’s DLI Museum, the artwork comprises ten interactive birdhouses connected by cables arranged in the shape of a tree. Each birdhouse has a speaker that can be triggered to make sound using a mobile phone or tablet. The installation will remain at the DLI Museum in Durham until January 10, 2016, after which it will be shown at Central Art Gallery, Ashton-under-Lyne and later at Towneley Hall in Burnley.
