The model took four people two months to complete. It sits in the Westfield shopping mall near the official London Olympics store and draws crowds that are sometimes four people deep. The minifigures used in the design include 9 figures made to represent the Great Britain Olympic team. These figures are available for purchase exclusively in the UK market and include a boxer, swimmer and tennis player, among others.
Bright Bricks is known for their extravagant and huge LEGO designs, like the world’s first LEGO jet engine for Rolls-Royce and a 40-foot tall Christmas tree in the middle of St. Pancras Station.
The model is an incredibly detailed replica of the Olympic stadium and it includes details of both the interior and exterior, featuring a running track, javelin field and awards podium.
