Pandas, horses, cows and plenty of birds are recreated as amazing paper sculptures by the hands of Sydney-based artist Anna-Wili Highfield. The biodegradable paper animals are created from archival cotton paper that is painted by hand and then sewn together to create the animal’s shape. Some figures use recyclable copper pipes to give them a sturdy frame, or in the case of birds, to give them movable wings.

Highfield works almost entirely by commission, and her commercial clients include Anthropologie and Hermes.
