Federica Garofalo

Life lover and hard worker, Federica is a very eclectic and dynamic person, passionate for people, sustainable and out of the box thinking, and for getting things done! After completing her bachelor in architecture in Milan in 2009, she felt that time had come to experience new things, meet new and open-minded people and get out of her comfort zone. It was right then when she decided to complete her studies by undertaking a master in architecture in The Netherlands. It was an extraordinary experience which changed her personality overall. Federica graduated in November 2013 in Architecture with an honor awarded master thesis on aid coordination issues in Haiti, connected to sustainable pre-disaster preparedness, post disaster response, and architecture. With excellent creative, organizational and communication skills, and an interdisciplinary mind, Federica is building her way in the world of sustainable and international development following her passion for finding solution to global problems through the connection of different ideas, towards a more equitable and respectful world. Firmly believing that cross-cutting and interdisciplinary approach is the new way of acting, she is now working as office administrator for The Humanitarian Centre and contributing as Sustainable and Global Development intern to the e-luminate festival organization in Cambridge, UK.
