Born and raised in Napa Valley, California, Katherine grew up running around vineyards, riding horses and raising sheep. She found an early love for nature and the outdoors, traveling to places like Thailand and India for environmental volunteer work after graduating from Chapman University with a Bachelors in English Literature. She enjoys writing on a wide range of subjects, anything from traditional Irezumi tattoo artists to education quality in developing countries to the state of modern agriculture around the world. She has most recently been published in Far and Wide Travel, Fodor’s and Stacker. Katherine currently lives in Honolulu, Hawaii, where she
works as an Oahu contributor for Wasabi Magazine and Fitt.co. You can often find her getting enthusiastically lost hiking in the Hawaiian rainforest or optimistically planning for her next travel adventure. For contact information and to read more of Katherine’s work, visit her website.
