Green design firm Bambu just updated their bamboo wares with a new set of products made entirely from sustainably sourced cork! The collection includes elegant bowls, key rings, placemats and iPad travel cases that are water and stain resistant, long-lasting and even machine-washable.

According to Jeff Delkin, president of Bambu, “Cork is the new Bamboo – it’s a totally renewable resource”. Bambu’s new Cork Fabric Collection is hand-stitched, made from renewable materials, and 100% free of animal products. The material is widely grown in Portugal and it is dust and stain-repellent, anti-bacterial, washable and waterproof – which makes it perfect for housewares and everyday accessories. Best of all, these quirky, compostable cork products can be made without chopping down a single tree.
