Artisan Design Source to debut luminous recycled cardboard lighting at BKLYN Designs 2015

Raouf Sarwari used to design custom furniture, display cases and living walls for architects, interior designs and artists, but then he stumbled across laser-cutting, and decided to design a new line of gorgeous interior lights that play with shape and shadow. Sarwari's Brooklyn-based studio Artisan Design Source will debut this new line of repurposed cardboard lighting at the upcoming BKLYN Designs furniture festival from May 8-10, 2015.

Laser-cutting is charting new territory in the design world. Made with cardboard and plastic, Artisan Design Source's new lights come in a variety of fascinating new shapes borne in Sarwari's imagination. Classy, unique, and beautifully made, the pendant and tabletop lamps are also practical.

We definitely encourage you to stop by BKLYN Designs in Greenpoint next weekend for a chance to see these and other designs made in Brooklyn by Brooklynites. It's the most exciting design event of the year, and you aren't going to want to miss it.
