Au Retour’s playfully printed textiles are made in small batches using non-toxic inks

Sometimes all it takes is a poppy pillow or a playfully printed pattern to give your space a low-cost, low-effort refresh. Textile design and print studio Au Retour offers up a line of fun home accessories that do just that, and they're all designed and made in Brooklyn, NY. If you're hankering to see the full Au Retour collection, come check out their booth at BKLYN Designs from May 8-10.

Au Retour was founded by Emily Diehl, who studied printmaking and painting in Atlanta, Georgia and received her MFA at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and Tufts University. Diehl starts all of her designs as an exercise in experimentation and uses all kinds of techniques - from block printing to folding and weaving paper to simple sketching - before she begins laying them out on her computer.

In addition to being made in small batches in Brooklyn, Au Retour's products are printed on natural cotton and linen blends using non-toxic, water-based inks and fiber reactive dyes.
