Recycled Brooklyn showcases gorgeous salvaged wood furniture

Recycled Brooklyn is a full-scale fabrication and design shop that builds custom furnishings from salvaged wood and recycled materials. Founded by brothers Matt and Steve Loftice, the Williamsburg-based shop works mostly with salvaged fir floor beams and recycled iron. Recycled Brooklyn’s built-to-order product line includes everything from tables and seating to consoles and credenzas.

The Loftice brothers’ commitment to using salvaged materials stems from the belief that there is already “more than enough usable material already in circulation.” Recycled Brooklyn products come in three surface texture gradients—old surface, skip-planed, and clean-planed—and in five stain options: no stain, antique walnut, provincial, dark walnut, and ebony. Each custom-made product is unique and can be modified to fit a variety of living environments.
