“Soda 10” Lamp Sandblasts Ten Recycled Soda Bottles by

Sarah Turner's "Soda 10" lamp is handmade from 10 re-purposed, plastic soda bottles collected from local coffee shops and homes. Each bottle has been sandblasted to give each a unique surface of a gorgeous, pale-blue opaque color. The bottles are then cut and sculpted into decorative, intricate forms that render them totally unrecognizable from their original form. The 10 sculptures are then attached to a polypropylene base, and secured with their own bottle cap. An LED bulb is used to mitigate heat that could melt or deform the bottles. Once completed, the lamps can be used as pendant, table, or floor lamps.
