Scribble Pendant Lamp Created from Twisted Ticonderoga Pencils by

The Scribble Pendant Lamp, created by Jennifer Huang, is designed to provide a decorative feature to the ambient lighting system of a space. Inspired by the classroom setting of Edgewood Elementary School, the soft mood light is diffused by 1/8” thick acrylic panels that are suspended in a volume composed of 256 No. 2 twisted pencil frames. Each Ticonderoga Envirostik pencil is 100 percent recyclable and is made from recycled content. The reflective metal tips of each pencil provide a hint of sparkle while the sanded acrylic surface minimizes glare, complementing the warm white glow of the Philips ambient led dimmable (A19) bulb.

I like the idea of using an already green product, recycled pencils, as a new material for something larger and much more grand.

This green product design is outstanding, not only it’s a beautiful art but also it can be used any room in the house, even in restaurants or hotels. It can apply for a patent. What a brilliant idea and superior design.
