The designer was inspired by the natural forms of woodlice, armadillos, and the light&#8217;s namesake, the pillbug. The shell is made from high-impact polystyrene, and the designer is currently searching for a recycled plastic alternative. The uniqueness of this design rests in its versatility, and its ability to fit any flat or angled surface.
