Design firm Broadway Malyan is taking its architectural talents to the next level, designing an entire city in northeastern Brazil. The gorgeous new neighborhood was designed by a team of masterplanners, urban designers, architects, landscape architects and brand specialists from around the world. Dubbed “Convida Suape,” the new city will be a model of sustainability, with a focus on walkability, green buildings and access to the natural terrain of the area.
Convida Suape extends the city of Cabo de Santo Agostinho, outside of the capital city of Pernambuco. The region will transform a 470-hectare area near Recife into a sustainable neighborhood for modern living. Surrounding a network of small lakes, over 100,000 people will be able to call the new green area their home, creating a standard for green urban development in Brazil.
Convida Suape will be divided into ten neighborhoods, and it will include 154 hectares of green space for residents to enjoy. A mix of 25,000 homes and high-rises will be built using renewable energy and sustainable building practices. The new city will be built in harmony with the already lush landscape of North Eastern Brazil. The city will also have access to state-of-the-art health facilities, education centers, new businesses and leisure activities. Combined with its sustainable design, Convida Suape will be a model for modern urban living.
