What could be more relaxing than spending an afternoon swinging in the treetops? The Cacoon is a new suspended tree tent that allows you to do exactly that! UK-based husband-and-wife team Nick and Sarah from Hang-In-Out were inspired by the shape of weaverbirds' nests when designing the colorful tree tents. They're made from durable and waterproof materials, and each one looks like a cross between a hammock, a tipi tent and a tiny treehouse.
The Cacoon‘s shape takes inspiration from weaverbirds‘ nests that the couple spotted while on vacation in Mexico. Each tent is made from an extremely durable, strong and waterproof canvas fabric material that is commonly used for making boat sails. This material also offers UV protection and it’s treated for mold resistance.
Cacoons are available in different sizes and a wide variety of colors. They can be assembled easily without the use of tools, and they pack flat to ship. Each Cacoon weighs just 13 pounds, so it won’t pull too heavily on tree branches – and they can also serve as weatherproof hammocks for the garden or human nests for the living room.
