The 2014 NYC Canstruction exhibit is hosted by Arts Brookfield and features 30 gravity-defying sculptures made of close to 100,000 cans of food. All of the cans will be donated to City Harvest at the end of the exhibition and visitors are encouraged to bring their own non-perishable food cans to add to the count. Please remember to only donate high-quality foods that you would eat yourself.

“For more than two decades, Canstruction has played an important role in helping fill City Harvest trucks with food during the winter months,” said Jilly Stephens, Executive Director of City Harvest. “We are proud to continue working together at a time when poverty levels are increasing in New York City and more of our neighbors are unsure about where they will find their next meal.”

Canstruction will remain on display through November 20th, 2014 from 10am to 6pm (until 5pm on the 20th) daily in the Winter at Brookfield Place (located at 200 Vesey Street) in Lower Manhattan. The exhibition is free and open to the public.
