Carl Warner’s Foodscapes may inspire you to transform this year’s Thanksgiving dinner table into an edible work of art. Although they look like CGI artwork, these fantastical scenes are entirely made from food. Arranged and lit to mimic villages in the Swiss Alps, or a scene from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, these amazing landscapes remind us of the beauty, vibrant colors and textures of our favorite sweets, fruits and vegetables.
Carl Warner spends weeks playing with food in order to make these incredible landscapes. He makes sure to light them properly, mimicking a sunrise in a drowsy valley covered in the first winter snow, or a sunset in an amusement park made entirely out of fruit. He then takes photographs that make these scenes look like real landscapes.
These amazing photos will be part of a special pop up exhibition at Ripley’s Believe it or Not! In London. Visitors will have the opportunity to take a closer look at the chocolate mountain peaks and houses made from lollipops. Meanwhile, perhaps moms and kids will be inspired to turn the often exhausting battle over eating vegetables into a fun, fairytale-like experience.
