The newly opened Bella Sky Hotel is impressive on the outside — it's the largest hotel in Scandinavia and it boasts a wild 15 degree lean -- but the inside is equally as unique. The furnishings are all natural, the lobby is covered in a huge living wall, and a huge LED centerpiece subtly changes the inside light to mimic the shifting Danish sky. In fact, the entire design by 3XN is designed to evoke Northern Europe's connection with the natural world.

The hotel provides quite a unique experience for visitors – the towers lean at a striking angle that cues the unexpected qualities that lay inside. The lobby encapsulates the organic nature of the building’s interior design. A prominent living wall wrapping the lobby core sets the mood of the space — the wall is a natural air filter and helps maintain humidity while acting as a striking backdrop.
The lobby is lit by a centerpiece custom designed by 3XN. The Bella Chandelier is made with over 7000 LED lamps which gradually change from a warm to a cool white to evoke the changing sky.
Guests check in via mobile reception desks, which lend an informal air to the hotel services. That informality continues with the choice of materials — some walls are clad in warm toned wood. The contemporary edge of the design is softened by an array of natural finished materials. The all carpets are wool and linens 100% cotton. Dark oak and leather furniture is primarily used to evoke the natural local elements.
Of course, the dynamic slated windows and spaces push the envelope to keep the design edge intact wherever guests wander.
