- Piazza High Line SectionThe last stretch of NYC's High Line park may be going full-on Italian. According to <a href="https://www.dnainfo.com/new-york/20160218/hells-kitchen-clinton/parks-depts-plan-for-last-stretch-of-high-line-includes-large-open-piazza">DNAinfo</a>, a 4,500-square-foot piazza could become the elevated park's finishing touch. Although the <a href="http://inhabitat.com/nyc/final-section-of-high-line-park-set-to-open-this-month/">final section of the High Line</a> opened up a few years ago, there is still an untouched 420-foot-long segment of the green space called the Spur. New renderings show that the <a href="http://inhabitat.com/10-landscape-design-projects-that-turn-damaged-and-neglected-spaces-into-healthy-beautiful-environments/">undeveloped area</a> is in for a green makeover, including a flora-lined pathway leading into a large plaza.1
- Piazza High Line SectionThe Spur will be covered in a green covered walkway that stretches along 30th street between 11th and 10th avenues.2
- Piazza High Line SectionThe passageway that runs under an office building south of Hudson Yards development will have concession space and balconies overlooking the street below.3
- Piazza High Line SectionThe Threshold will be a tree-lined path that will open up to the large piazza.4
- Piazza High Line SectionThe design for the piazza would make it the largest open space on the High Line.5
- Piazza High Line SectionOriginally, the space was going to see a large bowl-shaped garden, but that idea was scrapped to provide sufficient space for the High Line's changing art program and events throughout the year.6
