The China International Garden Expo (hereinafter referred to briefly as “Garden Expo”) is a key gathering in the Chinese garden and landscape field, held by MOHURD (the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People’s Republic of China) and the principle government of the host city. The previous nine Garden Expos were held chronologically in Dalian, Nanjing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Xiamen, Jinan, Chongqing and Beijing.

The theme of the 10th Garden Expo this year is “Eco-Expo, Green Life”. Not divided according to geographic regions, the exhibition park will be arranged based on the following themes: “Landscape and Eco-Techniques”, “Landscape and Humanistic Arts”, “Landscape and Happy Life”.

In order to express the theme and aim of the Garden Expo, and attract new international ideas and talent into the field, a special creative garden area is reserved in the Expo Park, to accommodate a global call for design schemes.

Works of the first and second prize winners will be constructed in the creative garden area of the 10th China International Garden Expo. Designers will retain the right of authorship. The names of statements of the designers will be properly displayed after construction.
