Calling all landscape architects—the Philadelphia International Airport and the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society have launched “Image Maker,” a landscape design competition for the redesign of the Philadelphia airport landscape. Open to designers around the world, “Image Maker” seeks proposals for the makeover of approximately 130 acres around the airport. Designs should create an iconic and memorable experience for travelers and take sustainability into account. The competition begins with a call for RFQs that will result in the selection of four finalist teams. Each finalist team will receive a stipend of $20,000 to develop their concept plan. Interested participants can register online and RFQ responses are due by July 21, 2017.
