FIGMENT NYC’s City of Dreams Pavilion competition—one of our favorite annual design competitions—just issued its call for proposals. For the sixth year in a row, the international contest is seeking temporary pavilion designs that, if selected, will be built for public enjoyment on Governors Island in the summer. Everyone regardless of age or experience is welcome to enter and projects can be submitted from both individuals and teams. Proposals should explore the questions: ‘If we imagine a future New York City where anything is possible, what would it look like? In our wildest and most optimistic dreams, what is the future of the city?’ The deadline for submissions is September 30, 2015.
