matterbetter launched the MH17 Memorial + Park Competition, an open ideas contest inviting architects, young professionals, and student from across the world to submit their ideas for a memorial and park dedicated to the victims of the Malaysian Airlines Flight 17 (MH17) tragedy. The design will honor the tragic loss of the 283 passengers and 15 crewmembers that died aboard the MH17 flight after it was presumably shot down on July 17, 2014. Amsterdam, the departure point for the Kuala Lumpur-bound flight, was selected as the location for the MH17 Memorial. Total prize money available totals 6000 EUR. Registration ends December 10, 2014.
