Archtober Kick-Off at the Center for Architecture

Archtober is the first ever month-long festival of architecture and design in New York City. Initiated by AIA New York and the Center for Architecture, the festival features 31 days packed  full of architecture activities, programs and exhibitions at more than 31 organizations. The Center for Architecture will kick-off Archtober with the opening of the Archtober Lounge and with programs, tours, and exhibition openings throughout the day on Saturday, October 1. All “Archtober 1” programs at the Center are free and open to the public.

Events on Saturday include the opening of the lounge at 11 a.m., Archtober Family Day, a tour of the Center for Architecture, and the opening of three different exhibits: Building Connections 2011: 15th Annual Exhibition of K-12 Student Design Work Opening, Buildings=Energy Exhibition Opening, and Smarter Living: The 2000-Watt Society Exhibition Opening.
