GE’s solar-powered twist on the family favorite carousel is landing in New York’s South Street Seaport for the month of August.
Beginning August 3rd, kids can take a free ride on the “Carousolar” while moms and dads can charge their mobile devices with one of GE’s solar-powered charging stations. Visitors can also check out lots of new and innovative things GE is currently working on in the solar space.
The Carousolar will be located at South Street Seaport from August 3rd through September 7th, and is available to the public from 9 AM to 9 PM daily, running every 10-15 minutes with back-to-back rides all day.
GE’s Carousolar Details:
- GE’s all white Carousolar is powered by 100 solar panels and lit by GE’s very cool and colorful TETRA Contour LED lights
- While riding, give your phone or any similar small device juice at one of the 12 solar-powered charging stations
- The power behind the event – GE’s CdTe thin film solar panels – are an innovative, ultra-thin film solar module that harnesses the power of the sun to produce electricity
