Figment Arts Festival on Governor’s Island

Date & Time

START: 10:00 AM June 10, 2011
END: 6:00 PM June 12, 2011

FIGMENT is a grassroots effort, organized and run entirely by volunteers as a gift to our cities because we believe in the aspirations and mission of FIGMENT. In New York, the free, weekend-long, annual interactive art event is hosted on Governor’s Island. See sculpture, installations, dance, music, children’s activities and more!

Several longterm installations will come out of the event. The Burble Bup pavilion will host performances and activities all summer long, the artist-designed mini-golf course will be on the island through September, along with the sculpture garden.

To get to the festival, there will be free ferry service from the Battery Maritime Building located adjacent to the Staten Island Ferry in Lower Manhattan, and from Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Pier 6, at the end of Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn. For more information on how to get there, visit Figment’s website.
