Brooklyn’s best chefs partner with local farmers and vineyards to bring together the outdoor food festival, Tastes of Brooklyn. Located on the plaza in front of Borough Hall, visitors will be able to taste seasonal delights, and all proceeds from the event will benefit Seeds in the Middle, a non profit organization that aims to inspire social change through sustainable health. Chefs from the NYC Fire Department and the Department of Sanitation (bet you didn’t know they had chefs!) will cook off against the borough’s top chefs.
Featured restaurants, farmers, and artisans include: SAUL Restaurant, iCi, Palo Santo, Egg, The Meat Hook, Abigail Cafe and Wine Bar, Shelskey’s Smoked Fish, Red Jacket Orchards, Glebocki Farms, Wilklow Orchards, Iona Hill Farm, Fizzy Lizzy, Mastellone’s Deli, … and for the kids, Grimaldi’s and Sal’s Pizzeria.
