The Hester Street Fair is returning to the Lower East Side on Saturday, May 7. For its 2011 debut, the fair is joining the Lower FEAST Side Food Festival. More than 30 local food vendors will be hawking their goods, along with dozens of local designers and artisans. The Hester Street Fair was founded last year by Suchin Pak (of MTV fame). The fair took over an abandoned lot and transformed it into a vibrant community gathering place. It immediately became popular, so everyone is super excited that it’s returning for round two. This year, visitors will enjoy food from the Vietnamese sandwich shop An Choi, British cafe The Fat Radish, and Macaron Parlor — just to name a few — all while browsing the racks of some of our favorite local shops and designers. There will be vintage from Summer Mizera, unique jewelry and accessories from Wink and Flip, crafty creations from On the Fringe, natural skincare products from Marble & Milkweed, and much, much more!
