TreeHouse PAZainting Picnic on Governors Island

Date & Time

START: 12:00 PM July 9, 2011
END: 6:00 PM July 9, 2011

As part of the FIGMENT arts festival, artist Benjamin Jones created a sustainable treehouse on Governors Island. The TreeHouse is open to the public, free for anyone to play around in, and the creators built the entire structure with reclaimed or recycled materials. They found scraps around the streets of Brooklyn and visited Build It Green! to get their supplies. This weekend, Jones and his friends are hosting a picnic painting party to prettifying the TreeHouse. They are also building a DJ booth, so there will be plenty of tunes to entertain, but the picnic is BYOF (bring your own food) so be sure to pack some snacks! You can RSVP for the party on Facebook.
