Ch-ch-ch-Chia! Anyone who grew up in the 80s is sure to remember the jingle announcing everyone's favorite Terracotta pet plant, so this Halloween, make your pooch the most popular pup around by outfitting it as a real live Chia Pet. This adorable, eco-friendly costume was one of the top finalists in our 2016 Green Halloween Costume Contest, and you can make it yourself from organic materials and eco-friendly felt by following a simple set of instructions courtesy of The Flirty Blog. Read on for our tutorial!

What You’ll Need:
- A dog sweater
- Plastic aquarium plants (which will enable you to recycle this costume next year or give it to a friend) or freshly picked clovers from your lawn
- Orange felt fabric
- Muslin
- Glue gun + glue sticks
Step 1:
First, use a glue gun or other adhesive to attach the aquarium plants (or fresh plants) to the dog sweater (bonus points if you find a used one!).
Step 2:
Next, use the orange felt and muslin to create a set of plant pots to cover your pup’s legs—you can follow this great tutorial on The Flirty Blog to create a comfortable harness.
