You will need:
– a blender
– a mason jar
– your smoothie ingredients (I used melon, apple, pear, locally-grown kale and water for mine)
Very carefully unscrew the bottom cap of your blender pitcher. Be wary of the fact that the blade will likely drop out along with the cap. Put the bottom cap and blade to the side and put the glass pitcher to the side.
Fill your mason jar with the ingredients for your smoothie or juice.
Again, being cautious of the blade, screw the bottom of your blender onto the top of your mason jar. The reason that this will work for most blenders is that mason jars have a universal thread. Make sure the cap is screwed on securely but not too tightly.
Place the mason jar with the blender cap down into your blender base (just like you would with your regular blender pitcher).
Once you’re sure the cap is securely in the base of your blender, blend, unscrew the cap and enjoy! The best part? No more cleaning out that pitcher since you can now drink your smoothie right from your glass.
