Blair Wilson and Lynn Hunter, Textile Arts Center

Blair is a freelance cultural writer and fiber artist. She graduated from Wesleyan University with a degree in philosophy, literature, and history, and began her professional life in publishing. After finding her spare time filled with weaving projects, she decided to pursue textile arts professionally. She currently works as an instructor at Bird River Studios and as a studio intern at the Textile Arts Center in Brooklyn, NY. Lynn is an internationally exhibiting artist who experiments with mixed-media collage, textile installations, and postal art. She uses figural, floral, and faunal representations to express her impressions of her past and current environments, including the Americas, Europe, Asia and her dreams. Constantly exploring her passion for creative, sustainable living, she has combined art and life under the influences of Andrea Zittel, Louise Bourgeois, and Shakti. Lynn received a B.F.A. from Rutgers University and currently resides in Brooklyn, NY.
