Looking for some eco-friendly beachwear to strut on the shore this summer? Look no further than Whistles, one of the Duchess of Cambridge’s favorite shopping haunts. The U.K. high-street chain (that’s mass-market, for all you non-Brits) teamed up with Ciel, an award-winning ethical lingerie label from Brighton, to create an eight-piece collection of camisoles, dresses, and side-tie undies. Printed with intricate feather prints from the Liberty of London archive on organic silk, the garments telegraph a nouveau ’70s vibe that beckons the surf and sand.

“We love the eco design philosophy of Ciel, and when Sarah [Ratty] showed us her incredibly cute knickers in Liberty prints, we decided to work with her and create the perfect high summer beachwear with matching knickers,” says Jane Shepherdson, Whistles’ CEO. “There is a real ’70s feel to the prints we have chosen, so they fit into this season’s trends perfectly.”

Next for Ciel and Whistles: a fall collection of fairly made Peruvian alpaca knits.

The two beach dresses (a halter-bandeau and a sleeveless button-up smock) and complementary knickers are available in three colorways: turquoise, orange, and violet. Starting at £45 for a panty and topping off at £150 for a frock, the line is said to be the first installment of an ongoing relationship. Whistles and Ciel are working on a fall collection of knits next, fairly handmade in Lima from Peruvian alpaca.
