No huge surprises at Costello Tagliapietra’s Spring/Summer 2013 show at New York Fashion Week on Thursday. The burly duo, who are living proof that two heads are better than one, dispatched a heady procession of dresses that rippled down the runway in fresh, painterly prints and vivid jewel-toned solids. “We played with the way color interacted with itself,” Robert Costello, who credits AirDye’s water-saving technology for the intensity of the palette, tells Ecouterre backstage. “We wanted to capture the moment of falling in love.” (Full review to follow.)
