It’s no secret that Barbie is an unrepentant shopaholic, so we weren’t surprised to find her all over Fashion’s Night Out in New York City. Still, the plastic bombshell took time out from her jam-packed schedule to don one of our favorite sustainable designers, although you won’t find this special-edition “Loomstate Barbie” on store shelves anytime soon. Loomstate dressed but a single doll in miniaturized versions of its “Abenaki” sweater and “Shkani” short, and she’s available only on the auction block for a starting bid of $500.

Loomstate was one of just five Council of Fashion Designers of America designers who dressed Barbie for a city-wide scavenger hunt—complete with QR code clues and free rides aboard a hot-pink double-decker bus—on Fashion’s Night Out. The downtown-preppy ensemble is polished enough for a gallery opening in Chelsea but with a bright splash of pink that’s unmistakably “Barbie.”

Proceeds from the auction will support emerging designers in the early stages of their career.

Proceeds from the auction will benefit CFDA Foundation scholarship programs, which support young designers in the high-school, collegiate, post-graduate, and early stages of their career. The doll is valued at $3,000, so if you have a spare grand kicking around, it’s worth a shot.
