Imogen Anthony’s new bikini is anything but- the model marched down the runway at Bondi Bather’s fashion week show in nothing more than strategically placed sand. Designed by makeup artist Becca Gilmartin, the only thing separating Anthony’s birthday suit from the runway was painted-on sand, in the shape of a halter top and string bikini bottom. The 23-year-old proudly strutted down the runway in the unique swimsuit, later tweeting that walking down a runway naked is liberating.

Anthony’s sand-kini stunt was all the rage at the Australian fashion show, with all eyes (and media) focused on her sand-clad bod. The model admitted to sticking to a strict no-carbs diet for two weeks before baring it all on the runway. The racy sand outfit was paired with glimmering gold high top trainers and an actual bikini bottom that she carried in her hand. As she strode, grains of sand shook free, cascading down her legs.

The model struck a pose at the end of the runway, leaving little to the imagination beyond the thin layer of sand. The sandkini was painted to include a tiny pair of “string tied” briefs that barely covered anything, and a halter top with painted ties across the model’s back.

The Bondi Bathers’ line of bathing suits have made a splash with their next collection with the sandkini, although the new line features bright bold colors and landscape prints of the Sydney beach.
