Gwyneth Paltrow is “consciously uncoupling” with some things in her closet, and she’s encouraged some of her famous friends to do the same. In a repeat of last year’s successful closet clean-out, the actress-turned-lifestyle-guru has commandeered the castoffs of celebuddies like Beyoncé, Kate Hudson, Nicole Richie, Miranda Kerr, and Caroline de Maigret for resale on her Goop website, all in the name of charity. This time, 100 percent of the proceeds will benefit DonorsChoose, a nonprofit that provides supplies to classrooms in need.

“Last year, we did a big story on closet organization, and in the process, sold a handful of pieces on behalf of three charities,” Paltrow writes in the May 1 edition of her online newsletter, which bore the subject line “Super-Classy Yard Sale.” “It was such a success that we decided to do it again, and enlisted some friends-of-goop who have particularly outstanding personal style to help.”

From fellow second-generation actress Hudson, Paltrow scored a Balenciaga dress, festooned with budding cherry blossoms. Australian model Kerr donated a handful of dresses and tops, including a color-blocked sleeveless silk blouse by Equipment, a chevron-print button-down by Juicy Couture, and a blue-and-purple crepe dress by See by Chloé.

Designer-TV personality Richie chipped in two pairs of scarlet-soled Christian Louboutin heels, while megastar Beyoncé handed over a pair of custom-made Stuart Weitzman booties from her Mrs. Carter Show World Tour.

Paltrow’s “home team” contributed a total of 23 pieces, from a “perfect leather jacket” by Isabel Marant to a brand-new Proenza Schouler satchel that the actress described as “so hard to part with, but such a worthy cause.”

The star-studded “yard sale” can already count itself a success. Goop reportedly broke the Internet crashed from a surge in traffic on Thursday after the announcement went live.
