Pack’s modularity, according to Verspoor, challenges the finite lifespan of textile products. “Each of the Pack components is made of one material and has one function,” he tells Ecouterre, “which makes it easy to replace, repair, and recycle components when they are worn out or when you want a different look.” But more than that, it’s also a visual design language unto itself. “I create pattern through the construction of a product,” he says.

Pack’s modularity, says Verspoor, challenges the finite lifespan of textile products.

Verspoor’s work will on view at the Sustain Show at the Royal College of Art during the London Design Festival from September 20 to October 3. The recent graduate has also been shortlisted for the Sustain Award, which will be announced during the show in September.
