Once upon a time, organic cotton collections for men were more boring than watching a puddle evaporate. But we’re living in a new era now! Some of our favorite purveyors of envirogarments, EDUN and People Tree have spiced up the game with
smart graphic t-shirts and hoodies for the guys. The best part is that they don’t scream “treehugger!” they simply whisper it in a sexy, Tom Selleck-like voice.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with EDUN, the company was launched in Spring 2005 by Ali Hewson and the ubiquitous Bono with the mission “to create beautiful clothing while fostering sustainable employment in developing areas of the world, particularly Africa.” We love the ‘Twisted Tree’ tee for its bad boy arborial imagery and can imagine Bono rocking it while belting out his tunes! We’re also feeling U.K.-based People Tree’s ‘Pedal Power Hoody’ for its promotion of bike power! This hooded comfort-machine is made with ‘Soil Association certified organic, Fairtrade cotton’ – for the people and for the planet.

Loomstate Spring Summer 2008, Loomstate Men’s Collection, organic cotton, Loomstate tees, Loomstate denim, Loomstate hoodie, sustainable style, green fashion, eco-fashion, Rogan Gregory Loomstate

Speaking of hot organic duds for dudes, you really cannot utter the phrase “sexy sustainable styles for men” without making us think about Loomstate. Launched in 2004 by designer and eco-champ Rogan Gregory and visionary Scott Hahn, Loomstate was created as “a casual brand dedicated to creating demand for certified organic cotton using socially and environmentally responsible methods of production.” We’ve written about Loomstate before, but we seriously can’t get enough of their “I just woke up dressed like a star and put absolutely no effort into it because that’s how I roll” aesthetic. Definitely check out their broken-in jeans, relaxed shorts and easy tees.
