Pamela Anderson is not launching one but two lines of vegan footwear. After a near decade away from the spotlight, the former Baywatch star is stepping out with a range of UGG-like “beach boots called “Pammies.” Designed to be worn with anything, anywhere, according to Anderson, the collection features three designs made, in part, from recycled electronics. “Pammies are cruelty-free footwear made from…progressive fabrics making use of waste instead of harming animals,” the longtime animal activist explained on her website on Monday. “This is my passion: to get a pair of these on every body who enjoys the beach lifestyle and everyone who enjoys the comfiness of slipping on something easy and warm to bring their dogs to the beach or anywhere outdoors.”

Anderson has also teamed up with French designer Amélie Pichard on a capsule of seven footwear styles and one beach bag. Produced using nontoxic plastic, cottons, acrylics, and rubbers from France and Italy, the shoes are meant to prove that “vegans can be sexy,” she told WWD.

“Vegans can be sexy: super fun, super-stylish, and conscious,” Anderson said. “Because young people want to make better choices when it comes to consuming, when it comes to fashion. We need more sustainable choices when it comes to handbags and shoes.”
