Kanye West’s latest track may be burning up the airwaves, but don’t count People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals among its fans anytime soon. The fur-loving rapper-turned-designer, who name-checks everyone from Anna Wintour to Kim Kardashian in the lyrics of “Theraflu,” dares someone to “tell PETA [his] mink is draggin’ on the floor.” PETA, for its part, not only received the message, it also had some choice words of its own.

“What’s draggin’ on the floor is Kanye’s reputation as a man with no empathy for animals or human beings,” Dan Matthews, the organization’s senior vice president, told XXLMag.com. “He’s a great musician but doesn’t seem to have the fashion sense to design anything more than caveman costumes. We keep hoping that one day he’ll find his heart and join evolved style icons—including Russell Simmons, Pink, and Natalie Portman—who have dropped animal skins.”

“[West] doesn’t seem to have the fashion sense to design anything more than caveman costumes,” PETA says.

This isn’t the first time Yeezy’s been in PETA’s crosshairs. In January 2011, Matthews described West and then-girlfriend Amber Rose as “pathetic creatures from a shabby roadside zoo” for wearing fur.
