Vivienne Westwood is staging a climate revolution at LUSH. The legendary British designer has linked arms with the natural-beauty firm to create a limited-edition “Climate Revolution” knot-wrap for the holiday season. Woven in Britain from 100 percent organic cotton, the fabric square can be used as a waste-free alternative to disposable gift wrap (à la the Japanese tradition of furoshiki), worn as a headscarf or bandana, or even framed as art.

The knot-wrap, which will be on sale November 18 online at www.lushusa.com, as well as nearly 900 LUSH stores worldwide, is available in your choice of light pink or camel. Each piece features Westwood’s Climate Revolution logo, along with a black unsmiling “face of war”—her symbol for the fight against environmental degradation.

Proceeds from the scarf, which retails for $25.95, will support the Climate Revolution initiative, as well as other causes raising awareness of the effects of climate change.

“I always say, buy less and buy better quality, so that what you buy will last. These Climate Revolution knot-wraps can replace wrapping paper and will last a lifetime,” Westwood says in a statement. “More importantly, when you buy them you join an uprising: the climate eevolution that we need if we are to have a future that we can survive and thrive in.”
