Located at 111 North 12th Street on Williamsburg‘s busy Kent Avenue, the William Vale is a modern, 23-story hotel that opened for business earlier this month. Vale Park, designed by Gunn Landscape Architecture, rests atop a slab that makes up the Kent Avenue-facing portion of the hotel, and is open to the public seven days a week.

The park can be accessed via two stairways: one located on N. 12 Street and the other leading to a landscaped breezeway between the hotel’s two main volumes.
The rooftop haven is landscaped with grasses and even edible plants like hot peppers.
Guests staying at the William Vale can also take advantage of a 60-foot pool on the third floor, which is the longest hotel pool in NYC.
Word on the street is that the silver Airstream stationed in the corner of the park will soon be home to a burger stand that also serves up soft serve ice cream. Called Mister Dips, the tasty trailer is set to open on September 29, so don’t forget to bring your appetite with you when you visit!
