Located just off the coast of Fiji and accessible via a 45-minute boat ride from Port Denarau, Cloud 9 feels like a remote slice of paradise surrounded by nothing but stunning crystal-clear water, the Ro Ro coral reef, and the Mamanuca Islands. The two-story restaurant has a fully stocked bar and a wood-fired pizza oven that cooks up gourmet pizzas (with vegetarian and gluten-free options). The floating building also turns into a party spot during the weekend with international and local DJs on board.

Most importantly, Cloud 9 is part of the Mamanuca Environment Society (MES) and adopts best waste disposal procedures to ensure that none of the waste ends up in the ocean. The restaurant is equipped with two “environmentally-friendly toilets” that transfer septic waste into tanks that are transported by boat to the mainland every day. Food waste is also transported to the mainland and composted for reuse in the MES gardens.
