Attention all green builders, architects, and eco-minded homeowners in NYC! We’re excited to announce that Brooklyn-based Green Depot will soon be hitting the Bowery with an extensive green building supply store and showroom. Offering everything from environmentally friendly building supplies to eco-products and green living services and solutions, the preeminent sustainable building supply store is making strident efforts to address the need for affordable, accessible green products. Designed by Studio Mapos, the store will preserve much of the building’s original structure and is aiming for LEED Gold or Platinum upon its opening on February 12th.
The arrival of a Green Depot store in NYC stands to make green building products eminently accessible for homeowners and professionals alike. Situated at 222 Bowery between Prince and Spring streets, the new store will offer a variety of services and supplies including New York’s first and only zero-VOC paint bar, a baby section for new mother and tots, and a resource and design center where staff will work with customers to integrate green building materials into their projects. To aid in demystifying the myriad eco products and solutions out there, the store will break down its offerings into an easy-to-understand system of icons that make it easy to go green.
