Long gone are the old-fashioned chandeliers outfitted with incandescent light bulbs and enough ornament to put a Christmas tree to shame. Group-Two Design recently brought their ultra-modern LED chandelier to this year’s International Contemporary Furniture Fair, and the futuristic fixture turned heads with its cutting edge design. Still paying homage to the shape of a conventional chandelier, the new form is a minimalist and energy-efficient interpretation of an old classic.

Brought to New York Design Week’s ICFF by husband-and-wife team Erica Pecoskie and George Simionopoulos, Group-Two Design combines LED lights and contemporary style in their beautiful chandelier. The polar opposite of super-ornate, crystal-encrusted ballroom pieces, the chandelier is approachable and suitable as a less formal, but still elegant appointment. The design comes with a host of accolades, including the 2012 RADOSTAR best prototype award at IDS Toronto and a feature in Dwell magazine. It is currently available for sale through Caviar20 in a limited edition at $4,750.
