Enter <a href="http://hobbitatspaces.com/">Hobbitat</a>, a tiny home builder that creates cozy, thoughtfully-designed houses wrapped in <a href="http://inhabitat.com/pics-the-best-green-designs-from-the-new-york-international-gift-fair/nyigf-recycled-and-repurposed-materials-4/" target="_blank">reclaimed and repurposed materials</a>. Oakland-based company Blue Sky Ventures built these energy-efficient, <a href="http://inhabitat.com/top-5-tiniest-tiny-houses/" target="_blank">prefab micro-dwellings</a> with traditional materials, blending green building principles with the familiarity and warmth of wooden cottages.1
