As you're gearing up for back-to-school, don't forget the BPA-free water bottle. If you pack a homemade lunch for your child, then a good solid beverage container is a must-have. Even if you don't pack a lunch, a water bottle is still a great idea for after-school sports, sips between classes and to help lower your child's footprint in general. Plastic water bottles trash the planet and make puppies go blind (I know you don't want blind puppies on your conscious). All of the following water bottles are 100% plastic-free and to the best of my knowledge and research abilities, 100% BPA-free as well. Why plastic-free? Nowadays there are BPA-free plastic water bottles available. Tritan is the most popular. However, BPA-free or not, it’s unclear how safe BPA-free plastic really is. Published research shows that even BPA-free plastics may contain harmful chemicals. Since kids are developing quickly, it's simply smarter to skip the plastic altogether. Thankfully, you can easily find many totally safe reusable stainless steel and glass bottles. Keep reading to see 15 good choices. NOTE: All bottles below come in elementary kid to teen-friendly sizes.
