Your child will grow out of her clothes and shoes, and she'll eventually get over her current toy obsessions, but one thing is for sure: she doesn’t have to outgrow her bike. The world’s first 3-in-1 bicycle is the latest talk of the town, helping parents save money as their child transitions from a toddler trike into a full balance bicycle with adjustable seating. The EVOLVE bike, created by the geniuses at New Jersey-based design company YBIKE, focuses on the early developmental skills for easy transition to a normal pedal bicycle. Designed for ages two through five, the bike is priced at $150 and uses a patented conversion system that offers a fun ride as children develop and grow in both size and bicycling skill.
“The Evolve is the result of years of work on design and structure,” explained Jean van der Merwe, Co-Founder and Design Director in a press statement. “We want to create something that promotes our kids’ interest in physical and outdoor activities – especially in this modern day and age. The team has also worked hard on its beautiful design, so that it looks sleek as well as being smart and effective.”
The “transformer” bike—safety tested in Europe and the US—saves parents both time and money by eliminating the hassle of having to purchase a new bike every time their child hits a growth spurt during their toddler years. While using the bike, children also develop balance and bilateral coordination. The bike’s rubber wheels are perfect for indoor use and durable for outdoor activities as well.
